Domain Omni DA1

The Domain Omni DA1 is perhaps the ultimate powered loudspeaker, created mainly for use with digital media servers without requiring the significant cost of high-end power amplifiers. The DA1 operates directly from a suitable DAC unit or pre-amplifier. The high frequency Omni-directional electrostatic module combined with three precision designed low frequency woofers are directly powered by separate audiophile grade Class D amplifiers with ultra low distortion and ample power. A precision matched 4th Order LR crossover is implemented by an on-board high performance 24 bit Digital Signal Processor, also enabling direct AES3 digital input. The DSP control also provides optional external user selectable Mode options to adjust for room characteristics via USB upload. The analogue Audio input and digital AES3 inputs are provided with pass-through "Link" outputs to allow connecting additional DA1 units together. The audio step-up transformer which provides the critical audio signal to the electrostatic panel is a balanced-interleaved typology comparable to that used in the world’s finest tube amplifiers.
